Best of both worlds ! You do not have to choose for another brand of codec than the one you are currently using. In fact, you can even hold on to and use your existing codecs to upgrade your equipment and enjoy all the benefits of eye-contact, invisible technology and 3D telepresence performance. All our systems are codec-independent. As a result, the choice of codec is free. It is a matter of ‘plug-and-play’ in the sense that your codec will not need any adaptations nor additional equipment to be deployed in combination with our telepresence equipment. Thus, it is up to you to decide which codec you wish to deploy in combination with 3D TelePresence. This includes any of the main vendors : Polycom, Tandberg, Radvision, LifeSize, Sony, HaiVision, etc…. In these cases, you can simply purchase the codec of your choice, from the supplier of your choice. We currently have systems in operation all over the world, with all these different codecs and they all work impeccably.
If – on the contrary - you have no real preference or if you do not have a specific codec standard established for your organization, we will be happy to supply you with Sony® codecs or LifeSize® equipment. We have established partnerships with both vendors. Both are considered leaders in their respective markets. The reason why we limit our offer to these two vendors, is not because we believe the codecs from other vendors are not of high quality – because they all are – but simply because we cannot support all the different codecs in a qualitative manner. For Sony® and LifeSize® however, we do have adequate support and service capabilities and we possess the necessary skills, expertise, infrastructure and partnership with international and local partners. The Service and Support you are entitled to, is as critical as the choice of the systems. Therefore, we will not compromise when it comes to supporting our customers and servicing their equipment.
